School Uniform

Avenue Primary School has a school uniform for all children from Nursery to Year 6. 

Black trousers or black skirts and a white shirt or polo shirt

The Avenue green sweatshirt

School shoes or trainers (black)

Black school uniform shorts, green school uniform summer dresses and black or white school or sports sandals which can be fastened around the ankle/foot (not flip flops) may be worn in the summer

Green salwar kameez

Black or white headscarves

Book bags

All children have the Avenue Book bag which they need so they can take a reading book home. These can be bought from the school uniform shop.

PE Kit

• A white T-shirt or polo shirt
• Black shorts
• Plimsoles or trainers
• Draw string bag
• We recommend children are also provided with tracksuit bottoms and long sleeve tops during for when it is cold

Swimming

The children in years 3 and 5 go swimming. They need a swimming costume, swimming hat and a towel.

Swimming hats can now be purchased from the school office for £2 each.

Please make sure all items of clothing and PE and swimming kit are clearly marked with the child’s name.

We recommend, on the day of the swimming lesson, the children come to school with their swimming costume under their uniform so they can get changed easily when they get to the pool.

Jewellery and Watches

Children may wear a watch and stud earrings, although the school cannot accept responsibility for lost or broken watches.

Please ensure that your child's name is put into all clothing, especially sweatshirts.
